RAISING YOUR VIBRATION

 

 

             We are here not to remain the same, but to change. To grow. To evolve. To awaken. In the ancient system of numerology, the year 2008 equals the number “10” and represents new beginnings, paradigm shifts, transformation, blazing new trails and compassionate leadership. We are experiencing a shift in planetary consciousness; all of the old structures built on fear, power and greed are crumbling. New, enlightened leaders are being called forth to lead in the areas of government, business, education, health care and spirituality. As individuals, our challenge is to raise our vibration, to release the beliefs we're carrying based on fear not love, on doubt not faith, on worry not trust.  In essence, we are being challenged to increase and shine our inner light from say, 40 watts, to 1000 watts. 

             One way to raise your vibration is to live your life from a calling, rather than from a place of ego self-indulgence. A Course in Miracles states: "The Call is Universal. Everyone will hear it, few will respond.”  Everyone is being called to shine their inner light, and it's important to remember that no one has more Godforce than you, and no more potential than you. There are no chosen people; there are only people who have chosen the One, or what we sometimes call the "One Truth, Many Names." Today, begin asking yourself, "What am I here for? What is my highest purpose?”

             Another way to raise your vibration is to let go of your sense of personal history. You are not what has happened to you. There is something about you that is A-historical.  The only one true thought you can have about the past is that it is not here now!  Every single day, we want to begin again, to be born again, which means we must relinquish all past labels.  Let go of all the things you think have happened to you and be receptive that there’s something about you that has nothing to do with history, something about you that hasn’t been hurt, something about you that hasn’t been harmed in any way shape or form. This includes letting of the so called "bad" and the so called "good."  Whether you perceive it as "bad," or "good," it's binding you to the world of the temporary, the world of the experiential, the world of the historical. So forget your resume, plaques, badges, degrees--all of the stuff that you think is so good because this is how your ego is defining you, and it limits you.  

             A third step in raising your vibration entails healing what A Course in Miracles calls the "authority problem."  In a nutshell, this means: Whenever you are not at peace, you have given your power to something or someone outside yourself.   Therefore, if you want to raise your vibration, you must look at all of the authority figures in your life. This includes the people that intimidate you, trigger feelings of not being good enough, evoke feelings of not dancing fast enough. Who are they? Parents? Boss? Partner? Children? Friends? The reason you want to become aware of who they are, is because these individuals are representing your belief in a greater power outside of yourself. In truth, they're merely being the back-drop that you’re projecting your belief in a power outside yourself onto.     

             A Course in Miracles teaches us that "The issue of authority is really a question of authorship. When you have an authority problem, it is always because you believe that you are the author of yourself...." This is the grandest delusion of all. We did not create ourselves, we did not author ourselves, we do not have the power to change our core essence, we do not have the power to control anyone else for that matter. We were created in the likeness and the image of God. Every single time we use our free will in a way that does not align with love, forgiveness, beauty, peace, joy, abundance and light, we are turning our back on a Power that is in us, but not of us--and we will suffer.  So even though we may turn our back on God, the good news is, God has no back, no front, no side. So God never, ever turns Its back on us. 

             Our goal is to teach the end of the authority problem. How? By teaching love and forgiveness. By teaching the people we love that they have their own minds, that they have the capacity to make their own decisions, that they always have a choice, and essentially, that they are mindful, not mindless. So take the authority figures in your life and begin to bless them. Be willing to bring them into your heart, to love them, to forgive them, to sincerely desire the highest and the best for them. Next, forgive yourself for having given them power over you.  And then you will break apart the assumption that there is a greater power outside of yourself and you will set yourself free.

             There are rays of light moving through our planet, which means those places within us that are in need of healing and transformation will be made very clear to you and me. The time is now for us to raise our vibration. The time is now to live life from a calling. The time is now to release our sense of personal history. The time is now to release the authority figures that intimidate us. The time is now for all of us to stand tall and shine at 1,000 watts.
